kids clothing measurements
need advice on how to handle a big baby!?
My son has just turned 3 months old and he is in the 90th percentile for his height and 85th percentile for his weight (ideal is 50 for each measurement). I took him for his two month check up and the doc says hes really tall for his age, hes wearing between 9-12 month clothes, hes not chubby but this kid is insatiable! He drinks 8 ounces every 2 hours so his pediatrician has put him on baby food already. My issue is this, he cannot sit up by himself so isn’t feeding him food dangerous, cant he choke? I put him in his car seat for feedings and they take so long because he is still using his sucking reflex. Will me feeding him food confuse him when its time for a bottle? Ive done Research and experts say not to put food in a bottle so what am i supposed to do, i don’t want him to be hungry all the time but i don’t want to mess up his development by spoon feeding him so early! Mommas of big babies, how did u handle these awkward months?
My son has ALWAYS been in the 90th-95th percentiles for both height and weight. He’s just big…not fat…big! He ate food early because he kept drinking bottle after bottle. I started with rice cereal and just had to be patient until he learned how to eat it. Don’t add it to his bottle…just feed it to him with a spoon. I sat my son in his bouncy chair because it was easier to wipe up afterward.
